With the background as a youth sports coach, youth pastor, mentor, and Christian Hip Hop artist I fuse Hip Hop with high energy, a passionate, relevant message that touches hearts and changes lives. A Chaplin to student athletes plus having a son that is a playing baseball in college I see the need more than ever. Relationships with my sons’ former teammates as Coach, Pastor, or Pops go beyond sports. The student athletes are part of my WHY!

About Short-Tee
Hey Fam! It’s Ya Man Short-Tee! OK, my birth name is Torrence Sims. Over 25 years of experience speaking greatness to students and student athletes as a youth sports coach, youth pastor, and Christian Hip Hop Artist. I realized student athletes have major influence.
The child of a single parent, poverty, etc., sports and church were an outlet. An Alabama High School football state champion my junior year the future looked bright. My senior season a critical knee injury derailed my college football dream.
The injury plus other circumstances were factors to join the U.S. Navy served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Later joined the United States Army, after 9/11 served in Operation Noble Eagle and Operation Enduring Freedom. I am a blessed, proud U.S. Navy & U.S. Army Veteran.
Part of a student character enrichment tour (HYDRATE) I always gravitated to student athletes. Coach Sam Shade called me to speak to the Pinson Valley High School football team. Players new me as Coach Tee, Pastor Short-Tee Christian Hip Hop Artist, here I became Pastor Tee. Once I spoke, dropped an a-cappella rhyme, lives were changed. Since that day I have pursued impacting student athletes beyond sports to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. My gift has taken me to schools, colleges, youth detention centers, churches, athletic organizations, and youth conferences in the United States & other countries.
Happily married over 25 years to Paula, daughter Imani, son Isaiah (Zay), our Shih Tzu “Andrew”, residing in Pinson, AL (Birmingham). In my spare time I love hanging with my family, watching sports of all levels, and working out.
